Leaving the valley that the lake Thingvallavatn lies in and riding over the ridge south of the lake. We are on the way to Maradlur. The herd of loose horses spreads out along the track and we ascend to a saddle that runs for a few miles through cliffs and and then descends steeply down into the lush valley of the Horses.
