THE END OF A LONG DAY.
>Mid-July, the sun is setting. It's 11 PM. This is about as dark as it gets from May through July. Just to the North of the fjord is the island of Grimsey, about 50 miles away, which sits on the Arctic Circle.

The next day's ride is a short one that brings us into the valley Svarfadalur. Svarfadalur's unique qualities have been recognized by declaring several large areas as nature preserves
