On The Road - Fosshótel and Iceland Adventure
There’s a lot to see on a drive around this special island - 1881 km, (about 1250 miles) of open landscape, vast wildness, glaciers, waterfalls, villages, mountain passes, black sands and heath. There are sweeping green fields and waterfalls galore in the south, seaside villages and soaring bird cliffs in the west, snow capped peaks that plunge into sea deep fjords in the north, and the twisty sea coast of the east. |

All On the Road Adventure Tours share some things - complete package prices with flights from the US, choice of car sizes, and accommodations at Fosshotels in convevient locations. Fosshotels are a group of comfortable friendly hotels all around the country. You’ll also get knowledgable helpful information from Iceland Adventure, LLC, who make it easy to book these driving tours (and plenty of other Iceland Fun!)
As for the time it takes to drive all the way around Iceland - 8 days is best suited to those who like to drive and want very much to accomplish the full circle and don't have the time to spend doing many of the activities or spending much time exploring on the land except through a windshield. We discourage (slightly) doing it. At the other end, 15 days to drive the "Ring Road" gives (almost) enough time to get it all in. People who travel "in depth" never really have all the time to see all that they have discovered in a strange land like Iceland, but 15 days should give you plenty of time.with multi-night stays in some interesting places. 8 and 11 day tours are good compromises for those of us whose time isn't all our own. With some careful research into the features, activities and attractions in the areas you're most interested in, 8 or 11 days can be very memorable trips with time to absorb new experiences and landscapes
