Traditionally Icelanders stop riding at summer's end and let the horses concentrate on fattening up for the long winter they will be facing. However we have some year-round rides that run from a few hours up a two day tour. A few of our outfitters keep some horses on shoes and just feed them a bit more to be able to use them during the off-season, so you can still get a taste of riding at any time in Iceland.
We have marked those rides that you can do all year around
